How we help
From assessment to implementation the board can account for
The AI Business Center Foundation (AIBC) is a think tank and advisory partner that helps the boards of construction, industrial and technical-services companies adopt artificial intelligence so that it delivers measurable results and builds competitive advantage. This page sets out the full scope of our support.
Tools are no longer the problem. The problem has become the layer between the tool and the result
The technology is available to every company. What makes the difference is whether the company knows which process to connect it to, who is responsible for that process, how it will measure the effect and whether it is acting within the rules. Our work concerns that layer, not the choice of licence.
4 pillars
01 Audit and strategy
We examine in which processes AI has a business case, in which it does not, and in what order it makes sense to act. The outcome is a board decision based on data from the company’s own systems. AI audit and strategy
02 Semantic transformation and implementation
Semantic transformation means organising a company’s names, processes and data so that people, language models and board reports understand them the same way. We carry it out across four levels: competence, naming, linking, value measurement. Technical implementation is carried out by the company’s IT department or its partner, based on our process description. The route from AI use to the measures in the board report is described on the From AI to BI page.
03 AI Act and ESG compliance
We help establish which rules concern the company today, which have a date and which the company need not worry about. AI Act and ESG compliance and the AIBC Certification Path.
04 Grants and funding
We match technology and competence projects to public programmes and help prepare the application. Grants and funding

What we do and what stays with the company
| role | who | responsible for |
|---|---|---|
| decision-maker | member of the company’s board | goal, priorities, decision to scale |
| process owner | head of department or manager | how the process runs, input data, acceptance of the result |
| architect and moderator | AI Business Center Foundation | method, assessment, process description, model selection, brief for IT, measurement |
| technical contractor | the company’s IT or a designated partner | integration, permissions, environment, maintenance |
| approving functions | security, legal, data protection | approval of the scope of data and use cases |
The Foundation is vendor-neutral: we do not sell licences or implementations. We act on the board’s side — we help choose the contractor, prepare requirements and criteria, run the procurement procedure or tender, and assess bids and contractor quality. The board makes the decision.
Ongoing collaboration
Companies that want to work with the Foundation beyond a single project become a Foundation Partner: they receive standing access to the team, a quarterly AI value report and priority in the Foundation’s programmes.
Frequently asked questions
Does a company need to have AI in place already to start working with you?
No. Some companies are still considering whether and where AI makes sense, some hold licences without a clear effect, and some have already deployed tools and want to put them in order with regard to the rules. Each of these situations has a different entry point; we establish it in the first conversation.
Does the Foundation carry out technical integrations?
No. We are the architect of the method and the moderator of change. Integration is carried out by the company's IT department or a partner it designates, based on our process description and implementation brief. This way the choice of tool follows from the company's needs, not from an agreement of ours with a vendor.
Can services be engaged separately?
Yes. Each service can be engaged on its own. Companies that want to work with the Foundation on an ongoing basis choose the Foundation Partner model, in which the services are combined into one programme with a quarterly report for the board.
Who is this not for?
Companies looking for a turnkey implementation without involving their own people, a one-off training session on how to use a tool, or a declaration of compliance with the rules instead of a real programme of action.
Let’s start with an assessment
Most collaborations begin with the 30-day assessment, which tells the board whether to implement, organise first, or stop. Let’s talk about the assessment.
