How we help

Evidence instead of declarations when a customer asks how your company uses AI

The AI Business Center Foundation (AIBC) is a think tank and advisory partner that helps the boards of construction, industrial and technical-services companies adopt artificial intelligence so that it delivers measurable results and builds competitive advantage. The AIBC Certification Path is the Foundation's own standard and concludes with an AIBC attestation.

A declaration is no longer an answer for the customer. Evidence has become the answer

Contracting authorities increasingly ask suppliers and contractors how they use artificial intelligence. The answer “we comply with the law” proves nothing. An AI use register, assigned roles, documented measures and a plan for obligations with a future date do.

The AIBC Certification Path is the Foundation’s own standard: preparing an organisation for conformity assessment, followed by an AIBC attestation. It is not a conformity assessment carried out by a notified body, nor a decision of a supervisory authority, and we never present it as such.

Who it is for

  • companies that answer questions from customers and contracting authorities about how they use AI,
  • companies preparing for the obligations for high-risk systems that apply from dates in 2027 or 2028,
  • technology providers that want to organise their documentation before a customer does it for them.

How it works

  1. Entry review. AI use register, role map (provider of the AI system or deployer), map of AI Act obligations with dates.
  2. Gap analysis. What the company already has, what is missing, what needs assessment by the legal adviser.
  3. Plan and implementation. The company completes its documentation and practices; we lead the method and check progress.
  4. Final review. We verify the evidence against the criteria of the AIBC standard.
  5. AIBC attestation. A document stating the scope and the date of the review.
  6. Periodic review. An update as the company’s AI uses and the legal position change.

What the standard covers

  • an AI use register with an owner and a purpose for each use,
  • documented measures supporting the development of AI literacy of staff (Art. 4 of the AI Act, as amended by the AI Omnibus),
  • a review of customer touchpoints against the transparency obligations (Art. 50),
  • rules for working with data and access rights in AI applications,
  • an action plan for obligations that apply from a future date.

The criteria of the standard are consistent with the method of semantic transformation, that is, organising a company’s names, processes and data so that people, language models and board reports understand them the same way. Templates, criteria and scales are the methodological property of the programme’s authors.

What stays with the company

Orderly documentation that the company uses in discussions with customers, contracting authorities and investors, and an AIBC attestation with a stated scope and date. The compliance measures feed into the AI value report for the board.

The first step

An entry review, carried out together with our AI Act and ESG service. Its outcome shows how long the path will be for a particular company.

Frequently asked questions

Is the AIBC attestation a conformity assessment within the meaning of the AI Act?

No. The AIBC Certification Path is the Foundation's own standard. It prepares an organisation for conformity assessment where the law requires one, and confirms that the company meets the criteria of the AIBC standard within the stated scope. It does not replace procedures carried out by notified bodies or decisions of supervisory authorities.

What exactly does the AIBC attestation confirm?

That on the date of the review the company had an orderly AI use register, assigned roles and obligations, documented measures supporting staff AI literacy and transparency towards customers, and an action plan for obligations that apply from a future date. Every attestation states its scope and date.

Does the attestation expire?

Yes. Legislation and the company's AI uses change, so the attestation requires periodic review. We set the frequency at the start of the path, depending on the number of AI uses and the pace of change in the company.

Do employees receive individual certificates?

Participants in the Foundation's competence programmes receive a personal certificate of completion with a verification link. It confirms participation and the scope of the programme and is separate from the AIBC attestation for the organisation.
